Christ the King Catholic School is committed to meeting the needs of all students in the general education program. Teachers licensed in special education meet with the public school, general education teachers, and parents to facilitate and plan to meet the needs of students with learning differences.
Accommodations within the classroom and the Ace Room are made to allow students to benefit from the general education curriculum with success. Individual needs are addressed by classroom teachers, Academic Support teachers, and parents.
CKS employs a trained professional School Counselor. Our Counselor provides support to students individually, in small groups, and also makes classroom presentations. The school Counselor assists teachers with strategies to help students in the classroom, and is a resource for parents as well. The School Counselor provides crisis intervention when needed, along with referral information.
