We have two homerooms per grade level. Multiple instructional methods including centers, small groups, direct instruction, and hands-on activities are utilized.
Students are assessed in many ways to ensure they are growing and to determine their strengths and weaknesses, including but not limited to NWEA and ILEARN. Teachers then use student data to provide differentiated instruction in math and reading.
Teachers meet in multigrade level teams once a month to discuss data use, students of concern, and offer each other strategies for success.
Students attend weekly music, technology, physical education, art, and Spanish classes. Each grade level goes on multiple field trips to enhance and enrich what they are learning. Throughout the year, teachers create projects, events, and fun activities for students to learn in multiple ways.
